If you found this page because something in your life broke and you're not sure what comes next . . . you're in the right place.
I'm Lathena. I've reinvented myself a few times now. Every chapter looking nothing like the one before it. No mentor, no map, no permission slip. I studied, I asked questions, I got plenty of it wrong, and I tried again.
Then a few years ago I lost something I had built and loved for a long time. Not because I quit. Because life happened the way life sometimes does. It was a painful loss. I lost my routine, my purpose, and honestly my whole sense of who I was.
So now I make what I wish somebody had handed me back then. How to believe you're still in there when life has knocked you flat. How to take one small step when you can't picture taking a big one. How to hold onto God in the middle of it.
Your feelings are real. You are understood. You're allowed to rest while
you heal.
What you won't get from me is permission to quit.
Rest, But Don't Quit is not a name I picked because it sounded good on a shirt. It's the only thing I know to say, because I'm living it right now.
I made this mostly for people who have been knocked down hard. Betrayed. Starting over when starting over felt impossible. Somebody scrolling at midnight feeling invisible, wondering if it's too late for them.
I own 33 acres. There's no house. No barn. Not even a driveway yet. Just
paths I cleared through the trees.
One day it's going to be an educational farm . . . gardens, animals, 4-H kids,
the whole community out there learning and feeling God's peace. Right now,
it's dirt and a big dream and a lot of work.
You're going to watch the whole thing happen in real time. The slow parts
too. Nobody rebuilds in one giant leap. You do it one load at a time.
I'm not talking to you from the finish line. I'm still out here clearing land
for something that won't bloom for years. I'm on the path with you.
There's a seat here for you, however rough today was.
It's not too late. You're not alone in this. And God's not finished yet.
